The HyroTrader One-Step is a single-stage crypto challenge: reach a 10% profit target on USDT perpetual futures without losing 4% in a day or 6% in total, over at least 5 trading days. It comes in six sizes from $5,000 ($69) to $200,000 ($1,299). This guide turns every rule into dollars for each size, then walks through a realistic plan to pass it.
I read the rules on HyroTrader's own pages in October 2026 and checked them against the records Prop Firm Bridge keeps on the firm. Nothing here is a sales pitch. If the One-Step does not fit how you trade, the last section says so plainly.
Key takeaways
- One stage: 10% target, 4% daily drawdown, 6% maximum drawdown, minimum 5 trading days, no time limit.
- The 40% Profit Distribution Rule caps the profit that counts from any single day at 4% of the account, exactly the same size as the daily drawdown.
- One position may not realize a loss above 3% of the initial balance, so a single bad trade can use half of your total room.
- List prices: $69, $129, $299, $499, $749 and $1,299 for $5K to $200K.
- Funded accounts start at an 80% profit split with a published path to 90%, paid in USDT or USDC.
The One-Step rules in plain words
| Rule | One-Step | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Profit target | 10% | Reach it once and the evaluation is done. |
| Daily drawdown | 4% | Your loss limit for one trading day, measured on equity. |
| Maximum drawdown | 6% | The total room for the whole challenge, trailing and equity based. |
| Minimum trading days | 5 | Days with a qualifying opened and closed trade, counted by the dashboard. |
| Profit Distribution Rule | 40% | No single day may be more than 40% of the target. |
| Per-position loss | 3% | Realized loss on one position is capped at 3% of the initial balance. |
| Time limit | None | Trade at your own pace, but at least once every 30 days. |
Two settings change how the daily limit behaves. The Standard model trails your intraday equity peak, so open profit you give back counts against you. The Swing model is a paid upgrade at checkout that keeps the daily level static. If you hold through volatility, read our Standard vs Swing daily drawdown guide before you choose.
Every account size in dollars
Percentages are easy to misread when you are in a trade. Here is each limit as a dollar figure, so you can write yours on a sticky note before the first trade.
| Size | List price | Target (10%) | Daily limit (4%) | Max loss (6%) | Largest counted day (40%) | Max loss on one position (3%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $69 | $500 | $200 | $300 | $200 | $150 |
| $10,000 | $129 | $1,000 | $400 | $600 | $400 | $300 |
| $25,000 | $299 | $2,500 | $1,000 | $1,500 | $1,000 | $750 |
| $50,000 | $499 | $5,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 | $1,500 |
| $100,000 | $749 | $10,000 | $4,000 | $6,000 | $4,000 | $3,000 |
| $200,000 | $1,299 | $20,000 | $8,000 | $12,000 | $8,000 | $6,000 |
Notice the symmetry in the middle columns. On the One-Step, the most profit that counts from one day is the same number as the most you may lose in one day. That is a useful mental anchor: your best allowed day and your worst allowed day are the same size. Every account and its current price is also listed on our HyroTrader challenges page.
Why the 6% maximum is the rule that decides most attempts
The target is 10% and the total room is 6%. You must make about 1.67 times what you are allowed to lose. That ratio is fine for a trader with a steady equity curve and punishing for anyone whose normal swings run to 4% or 5%.
The per-position cap makes it tighter. A single position may realize a loss of 3% of the initial balance, which is exactly half of the 6% total. Two maximum-size losers in a row and the challenge is over. In practice you want your normal stop to sit far below 3%, so that one mistake costs a fraction of your room instead of half of it.
Because the drawdown is trailing and equity based, profit you make and then give back also eats into the room. Crypto perps can retrace a strong move in minutes. Traders who let a 2% open gain turn into a 1% loss have, in effect, spent 3% of buffer on one idea.
A sizing rule that fits the One-Step
Start from the maximum loss, not from the balance. A practical rule of thumb many disciplined traders use is to risk no more than one tenth of the total room per trade. On the One-Step that is 0.6% of the account:
- $10,000 account: about $60 per trade, ten straight full losses before the $600 limit.
- $50,000 account: about $300 per trade, ten full losses before $3,000.
- $100,000 account: about $600 per trade, ten full losses before $6,000.
At 0.6% risk and a 1.5 reward-to-risk ratio, each winner adds 0.9%. Reaching 10% takes roughly 11 or 12 net winners, which also spreads the profit across enough days to respect the 40% rule and the 5-day minimum. Our free position size calculator converts that dollar risk into a contract size for any stop distance.
Leverage does not change this maths. HyroTrader allows up to 100x on Bybit USDT perpetuals (pair limits vary) and up to 150x on BTC and ETH on the BloFin route, but combined open-position value may not exceed the initial balance. Leverage only sets how much margin a position ties up; your stop sets what you can lose.
A five-day plan for a $50K One-Step
Here is how a calm, rule-respecting run could look on $50,000. The point is the shape, not the exact numbers.
| Day | Result | Running total | Rule check |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | +$900 | +$900 | Under the $2,000 counted-day cap |
| 2 | -$300 | +$600 | Far from the $2,000 daily limit |
| 3 | +$1,500 | +$2,100 | Under the cap |
| 4 | +$1,400 | +$3,500 | Under the cap |
| 5 | +$1,500 | +$5,000 | Target reached on day 5, minimum days met |
No day is above $2,000, so the 40% rule is respected without thinking about it. Compare that with a trader who makes $3,500 on day one. That day is over the $2,000 cap, so they keep trading for more days while holding a large open-profit cushion that the trailing drawdown can take back. Big early days feel good and often make the rest of the challenge harder.
Markets, platforms and costs
The One-Step trades USDT perpetual futures only: all Bybit USDT pairs except EUR/USD, about 700 pairs. Spot, USDC perpetuals, COIN-M futures and options are not allowed. You can trade on HyroTrader's own platform or through Bybit, BloFin, Tealstreet or Tiger.com routes; execution is simulated on all of them. Our HyroTrader platforms guide explains the differences.
Trading fees count against your drawdown like any loss. On the Bybit and Tealstreet routes, fees follow Bybit's VIP 0 rates for USDT perps: 0.0200% maker and 0.0550% taker. A $50,000 position opened and closed with market orders costs $55.00, which is almost 2% of a $3,000 maximum loss on a single round trip. Scalpers on the One-Step should favour limit orders where their strategy allows.
Rules that end accounts without warning
- Martingale and averaging down into losers.
- Opposite positions across accounts (cross-account hedging).
- News-only strategies. Trading during news is allowed; a strategy built only on news releases is not.
- Copy trading, mirroring or third-party signals. Bots and scripts are fine if the strategy is your own.
- Low-cap coins above 5% of the initial balance including leverage.
- Total exposure above 25% of the initial balance in risk, or open-position value above the initial balance.
- No trade for 30 days.
After you pass
Funded accounts start at an 80% profit split with a published path to 90%. Payouts are on demand once eligible, in USDT or USDC, with processing advertised at about 12 to 24 hours, no HyroTrader payout fee and a $100 minimum after the split. Each request is capped at 5% of the initial balance, which is $2,500 on a $50K account, and profit above that cap that is not withdrawn is not paid. The HyroTrader payout rules guide covers this in detail.
You can hold up to $400,000 across challenge and verification accounts and up to $200,000 across funded accounts.
Is the One-Step right for you?
It fits traders whose worst peak-to-trough drawdown at normal size stays under about 3%, who close most positions within the day, and who prefer one stage over two. It does not fit swing traders who sit through 4% to 5% open drawdowns on BTC or altcoin perps; for them the Two-Step's 10% maximum loss is the more honest choice. Our Two-Step challenge guide covers it in the same detail, and the One-Step vs Two-Step comparison shows both side by side.
